SX110 - general usability and stability

Hi, I'm new to CHDK, have tried it on an SD1100, and found it quite nice. I also have an SX110, and would like to try CHDK on this camera as well. I noticed, however, that CHDK is in the beta stage for this camera according to the list. Since 'beta' has a broad range of possible meanings in terms of stability, I'm unsure whether it would be a good idea for me to try it on my brand new SX110. Could anyone who has used CHDK on an SX110 give me any advice on this matter?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the help so far. All I really would like to know is how stable CHDK is on this camera.

Read the SX110 thread http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2838.0.html

There are some remaining issues with the port, but there is no reason to think it is more (or less) likely to damage your camera than any other CHDK version. See http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#Q._Can_CHDK_damage_your_camera_.3F

Thanks. That thread looked like it was more for developers, so I didn't read into it very far before. I didn't know it was The SX110 thread. :)

The development thread tends to fade seamlessly into the bug reporting / camera specific issues thread ;)
