For faster raw recording, don't forget to turn the option "raw buffer cached" on in the RAW menu.
And for merging HDR pictures or even jpegs with the same exposure in order to reduce noise, try the freeware traumflieger, very easy to use and very efficient. It will create a 16-bits Tiff file you'll have to open in an image editor though. http://www.traumflieger.de/desktop/DRI/dri_tool.php
