Hello,
i'm a newbie and i've installed the CHDK (a710-100a-0.9.8-782-full) on my A710 is.
This is message in the boot screen:

It's ok for you?
What'is E18? It's  a problem?
And Zoom LensError 2009.08.09 13:31:27 it's a report on an error happened in this date/time??

The A710 with FW version 1.00a is supported by CHDK -> http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK

For the E18 error:
E18 error in the firmware information screen means: there once was a problem with the optic / lens mechanics, maybe some time ago, it's a kind of log for the service. Nothing to worry about if the camera works normal...the line after the EXX shows the date this error occurred the last time...also the same with the ZoomLensError...

PS: using the search function, e.g. searching for  "E18" (with the 2 quotes " ") gives you a lot of hits...
