Just thought of something - are you starting your cam in PLAY aka REVIEW mode ?

that's the only way to actually get the Canon menu to show the firm update menu entry ...

the camera don't see the PS.FI2 file...so i guess it's the Mac issue, pls. check this again...

Humm.. I dont think it is a mac issue, as i am able to see all the files in the sd card. I use the unarchiever to uncompress the zip.
This procedure has been used by many people and is known to work. It is extremely simple, unless your OS is doing something behind your back. Based on experience, the Mac special attributes are by far the most likely cause of your problem.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hello all,

Did some more tests. Apparently there was some issue with mac os. I repeat the same steps in windows and it worked !! ;-)

Now i'm gone to study the chdk manual !!
