i've taken a look at the code a couple of times and i'm having trouble finding where the problem is likely occurring.

LuaD_throw isn't getting called.

I'm only recording the exit on lua_resume != 0 although i'm trying to find the preceding step.

I'll see if I can learn something about debugging lua this week.
I've checked this in with some minor modifications changeset 815.

Changes are:
- the id in conf is 238, not 237, because another conf item (jpeg quality override, which is ignored on all cameras except sx200) was added in between. This means your personal config will not have the correct value set if you use the trunk build.
- changed the if so that there wasn't undefined behavior if the option wasn't 0 or 1
- renamed lua_reset to lua_script_reset to match lua_script_start

I left the option in the debug menu. Probably doesn't really belong there.
