I would check both partitions.
On the first partition you only need DISKBOOT.BIN.
CHDK\SCRIPTS should be on the second partition.

I suspect that you may also have a version of CHDK\SCRIPTS on your first partition.

Ah, i had CHDK WITH diskboot on the first partition, i only had the Canon folders on the second, which worked fine for speed photography etc but i have aa kitchen timer coming which i wanted to use with an interval timer to do a circular shot, was thinking have a test with the script when it all went wrong. I shall be on the case when ive lumbered up ;)

I thought i had posted my final reply yesterday ;~  Re-worked my 8GB card with sdminste to give me a 2MB partition in Fat16 and the rest in Fat32, dont why i wasted some on my last build of a 2GB partition and a 6GB. I used sdminste to carry over g9-100d and all is fine, scripts function works ok. Big thanks to you guys for your steerage ;)

It's easy to read 2 GB when it says 2 MB  :haha

I personally only put DISKBOOT.BIN & vers.req on the small, and all other files on the large partition.
If you then accidentally find yourself 'in the field' with an activated large partition (e.g. because you have been viewing/transferring your pics at home, and forgot to swap back) you can still start
CHDK, using PS.FI2 & the 'firm update menu' method  :D

have fun with CHDK
