Can some one advise me as to how i can dump the FW for a Canon Powershot SX20 IS with FW 1.02C? I read the replies here and still have trouble understanding what i must do. Thank you.

Hello everybody,

i have the sx20 with the firmware 1.20c.

What can I do to make the chdk work with this firmware.
If anyone can send me the blink software I can do the firmware dump.

This forum is very exciting. Some functions delievered by chdk are really missing.

I'm looking forward to get the chdk for my camera

yeah I tried but with no luck after so many hours... can the blinker software for the sx20 that has been posted on this forum be used to record using the sound card? or is it only for the serial interface? 'cause I have a 440MB dump file with beautiful square waves recorded through my soundcard. I originally tried on serial, but I got no signal at all on the computer.

Sorry for being unspecific in my previous post. My problem is, that I have a recorded raw file of the firmware using my sound card, but I am not able to postprocess it so that I get a valid dump.

I am not sure if i allready asked, but... Has anyone allready tried/tested my modified udumper on the SX20? If not, it is maby worth a try: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,4647.msg46175.html#msg46175
If i am right, G11 and SX20 uses the same dancingbit diskboot encoding and so it is maybe also working.
