igorb: yes, but from what i understand this isnt relevant for the firmware part and only needed later

Anyway, it works now!

i recompiled the firmware without any modifications to the code to test my compiler setup was working.
i used that new firmware in my camera and it worked!!

thanks to anyone working on this,
awesome!

(im on a mac though, so that problem/solution might not work for someone else
also for anyone else not working on a windows system: the decrypt20d application is provided as exe, so you will need to run it in wine on the compiled .bin file to get a valid firmware)

edit: now that it works, a litle wish list for the devs:

would it be possible to make the AEB do more pictures? for example not just -6, 0,+6 but -6,-3, 0,+3,+6

maybe there is a way to set aeb to a value, let the user take the 3 pictures and then automatically set the aeb to half the original value and let the user take another 3 pictures.

so first -6,0,-6 and then -3,0,3

this would lead to a double "0" image but to me this seems to be a quick way to get this running.
im no developer but since its already possible to stop aeb after one usage, shouldnt it be possible to instead of disabling aeb to set it to half its original value and let one start again?

i hope all this makes sense ;)

Hi,
I am thinking of the feature: C. Fn 03 - Flash Sync. Speed in Av mode to set from fixed 1/200 to variable 1/60 ~ 1/200 like the newer DSLR.

Would it be possible to implement that on 350D? Thanks.

Colour Temperature Enabled:

1. Press <INFO>
2. Press <UP> or <DOWN> to select feature you want to change (ISO, AEB or Colour Temperature )
3. Press <LEFT> or <RIGHT> to change the value of the selected feature

hmm and what about 1/3 iso jumps that i've seen in last version?

btw. is it possible to add option for bigger jumps, like 500k?

Im just curious. In the custom function there is "superimposed display". I just want to know what is this for and how to use it. Thanks in advance

cyrustam, some way to come back with the 1/3 ISO stops togheter with colour temperature?

I think the combination of spot, colour temp and the 1/3 iso stops makes the camare perfect for me.

Thanks for the great work!
A huge list of new features. wow!
maybe anyone can write all new stuff down in one post?

Would it be possible, to stream videosignal (wich is transmitted via USB if camera is connected to a PC) directly on CF?
Or make a better zoom-tool in past-view? or even liveview+zoom (usefull for noobs to focus with manual lenses)?

Can my 350D make coffee ? Guys, firmware mods are cool, but they can't make a cow morphing into a horse
