Hello everyone!

I have a Canon IXUS 860 IS, and would like to trigger it by wire. Does any one know how I can do it (if it is possible)?

Yes, i'ts possible with every CHDK-supported Powershot

Thanks for your help. First of all I want apologise for my ignorance. What you mean with "CHDK-supported Powershot"? I guess it is a firmware change. Can you please help me further.

I mean: the USB remote feature is a basic CHDK feature, it is supported on all CHDK versions.
I.e. if there's a CHDK version for a specific Canon Powershot Camera available (over 47 Cameras and about 96 different firmware versions in total are supported until today), this camera can use a remote control with CHDK...
