Hi Dean0, welcome to the forum !

Very impressive ! You should probably open a topic in CHDK Development -> General Discussion and Assistance (or Feature Requests ?) about this, your project will get more exposure that way.
To propose stuff for checking in, the bug tracker Mantis http://chdk.kernreaktor.org/mantis/my_view_page.php can be used.
Because CHDK binary downloads http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ are built directly and automatically from the svn, write access to it is limited to minimise the chances of breaking stuff.
(BTW: In CHDK-Shell, click the current version number to open the changelog, and you'll get a good overview who's doing the checking-in )
