Getting the simple menu systems working isn't too much of a problem, but I can see getting everything else working beyond simple proof-of-concept will take much longer.

Hi,
I am new to this and also have an SX120, and found this website:

The guy claims to have something working, I formatted an SD card in my sx120 copied the chdk folder to the card and then turned on the camera in playback mode and nothing. Anyone know what this guy did / what i did wrong?

That seems to be the same build as in reply #77.  At least it still has the same behavior. (I can't see the version number when it starts up.. too small and too fast)

Thanks ScoobyDoo turns out it was me just being silly, turns out you need to hold the playback button down just that little bit longer than normal for it to boot it - stupid mistake by me.
Anyway once i had it booted up i got the new menu but was unable to use any of the options in the menu such as long exposure settings - im guessing they just are not there since its beta software? If anyone else has any feedback let me know.
Otherwise heres hoping that CHDK for the SX 120IS is out soon!

Correct, the features are not implemented yet, just the booting and menu system.

Actually I take that back... some of the fun scripts do work, like the metrodome, but nothing useful
