You are saying the sx120 build on http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ does not work, the camera just shuts off?

There are numerous questions about startup related problems, most likely boot.c would need to be rewritten.

Hell Yeah! :D :D It really works, but only with "pressing the shutter button". Thank you srsa_4c. :)
Does anybody know, where can I check releasing date (year) of my Camera's  model. I mean: is it before 2011 or after 2010? & If it worth to install CHDK Bootable SD Card Method on 128MB card, or is better to get bigger, for ex. 16 or 32 GB and witch of this two sizes is more practical...? :)

The SX120 was released in 2009 :  http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/SX120IS

You will need to format any card larger than 4G with dual partitions with this camera if you want to autoboot.

I'd suggest you use the STICK utility :  http://zenoshrdlu.com/stick/stick.html

I copied the new files to the SD, but it looks like a step back for me--fails at "rec"

Yes, that worked for rs multiple times using chdkptp on my headless dockstar running debian.  After the following session, test16.jpg, test17.jpg, and test18.jpg were available for viewing from my laptop browser.
