PS.FI2 from reply# 446 works for me.
SD card format in fat32 no bootable and unlock .
firmware update-> Ok-> and quick push button power on/off and wait end of loading process.
Actually PS.FI2 works for me too; I just didn't realise it. It's not how I remember it working on other models: you need to press the power button as soon as the screen blanks, otherwise the camera just turns off and CHDK doesn't start when it's subsequently powered up.
It's a bit hit and miss, but it's reliable enough to use for in-camera partition swapping.
Hi everybody ! Aspect correction settings in the code are probably wrong.
I used CHDK in the Canon SX110IS, and for my sourprise when I installed in the SX120IS expecting pretty the same thing I found that the histogram width in the screen is much reduced. The screen resolution seems to me a bit high, the fonts in general are a bit small ... Anybody knows how to change or customize any of this aspects ?
I dug around and found this. The original SX120 builds defined a hi-res screen without aspect correction. I've now pulled in the relevant bits from the SX200 (camera.h and lib.c) to stretch things on the X axis and the 10pixel menu margin from the G11.
Compared with the non-standard 1:1 X builds you'll fit less on the OSD this way, but it looks better overall.
Attached is 912 rebuilt with this and a semi-working (see above) PS.FI2.
Just ask me here if anyone wants this source: I don't have access to the SVN, drop.io is dead and the archive is 5Mb.
