I'm looking at possible ways to interface my phone (T-Mobile G1) with my Rebel T1i.
basically my options are to interface to the standard remote port 2.5mm jack, infrared (the G1 has a serial port.. with some hardware hacking it's an option) or.....
What I am truly interested in is whether the EOS has a serial port (built into the USB) or whether the 16 pin connector located under the battery has serial - or even just allows access to certain functionality of the camera (that combined with a micro-controller rigged to the serial port of my phone would give pretty much what i'm after).
I've done a few googles and cannot find much info on this port in the battery compartment and wondered if anyone here knew of any details on it?
any info you can provide or any links would be much appreciated
