f_m_b I tested both 1144 and 1160 versions of 1.00f and I fully agree with jan and phaedra findings. 1160 version is stable and probably ready to be put in download section. Further I noticed the following regarding canon raw file format: as previously stressed canon raw format was unreadable. I have version 10 of Firegraphic photo viewer, which could not read .crw files produced. However when I tested version 1144 I discovered that .crw files were readable and usable!!!. But after switching to newer version 1160 .crw files were again unreadable, as before. What changed between versions???? .dng files were ok on any version. Thanks for your efforts.

Nothing has changed in the CRW files. This "format" is just an exact copy of the sensor data. It never changes. Futhermore, programs that wish to support this "format" need to be updated for new camera models. This is not something that can be controlled by CHDK, it's up to the maintainers of the individual programs. See also http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Raw

Note that you can save DNG *format* with CRW *extension*. This may confuse some image processing programs, while others that understand DNG may ignore the extension and correctly load the DNG.

I would suggest that what you observed is like this.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hello baxev2005

to see my jpg/RAW/DNG pictures i use IrfanView (428) with CRW/CR2 Plugin for canon cameras  (422).

Just try it.
Greetings Frank

Thanks to all for the great work you 're doing

@reyalp I checked file sizes and concluded that you are correct. Being not careful enough I managed to save .dng format files with .crw extension. Therefore it was .dng file with .crw ext what I was looking at.

@f_m_b thanks for the info I will try that also

I downloaded the latest build and the Override shutter feature crashes the camera when Value factor is set to 1.
TV  is showing in the left top corner of the window with Value factor set to 1.
If not set to 1, the override seems to be set to the cameras shutter speed default limit of 1/3200. The camera will trigger.
TV is not showing in the window if 1 is not chosen.

I used Acid to acquire the build (CHDK/sx20-102b).
Should I be using sx20-100f-0?

The 100f, 102b etc. refers the the canon firmware version. You need to use the one that matches the canon firmware version of your camera.

My Firmware is 100f. Which version of CHDK should I be using from the Autobuild download page?

1.02B: sx20-102b-0.9.9-1220-full.zip  (547KB) sx20-102b-0.9.9-1220.zip  (210KB)
1.02D: sx20-102d-0.9.9-1220-full.zip  (547KB) sx20-102d-0.9.9-1220.zip  (210KB)

I want the full version, and but don't understand the the difference between 1.02B and 1.02D

If your camera is 100f, then you need a 100f build, unless 100f has been proven to be compatible with some other build. There is no 100f build on the autobuild server yet.

There is discussion of 100f earlier in the thread, which I believe includes some builds. See this post http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=4348.msg65447#msg65447
