I finally got init_file_modules_task to work after copying the taskCreate code from the sx10 102b port.

Now i'm trying to get capt_seq_task() to work. To debug I'm just setting the first instruction to be:

"BL sub_FF87CD40\n"

My boot.c contains  if (p[0]==0xFF87CD40)  p[0]=(int)capt_seq_task;

When my camera boots with the if statement commented out it runs fine. When commented in it crashes after a second or so.
Why is this occurring. Surely I'm just jumping straight to the real code! capt_seq_task() is a naked function.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the updates. I'm sure there'll be a lot of 1.02 users grateful of this when it's running properly. :)

acid, thanks for all your hard work on this.

Many thanks to viulian who contributed the code to get the JogDial working!

Once I get the screen to refresh properly and correct an error causing the config file to incorrectly save I'll do a release.

Viulian,

I would suggest trying a light tent vs the flash or with the flash and a adapter (Lensmate http://www.lensmateonline.com/store/sx10sx1.html or the one on Amazon) that allows the use of 58mm filters, etc on the SX20, and purchase one of the standoff 1-2-4--10X macro lens "filters" for it or even a Raynox 250 macro lens. I can shoot some some decent macros with the standoff filters and some really close in full frame shots using the 250 macro lens(you need a rock steady heavy tripod and macro focusing rail for this lens). Amazon has almost all of these.

The super macro mode in the camera self really just allows you to place the lens right against the subject with little or no magnification.

Don't give up on the CHDK port for the SX20! And don't worry about the rejected shots(what do they know anyway!)
