I tried that by copying it out to chdk folder and naming it to .bin, run the lua script with the same result and moreover the badpixel, bin in the chdk folder got deleted by the cam.
Is there anyone with the FW 1.00F who managed to do save dng so that I can use their files?
regards,

Hello fe50,
I finally got it. it was something in the .lua file line 38 and 42 commenting them out made the dng work. msl helped me.
thank you for the time you spent helping me out so far,
all the best.

What do you mean? Start video recording when motion is detected?

i am new here .... but got some issues with chdk on my Canon sx20.
I've got firmware version 1.02D

Whatever i try, i don't get the Firm update option under Menu.
Tried it with a 1 GB sd card and a 4 GB sd card.
1 gb split in two partitions with SDM. Tried it several times but i never get the Firm Update function.
Tried it with my 4 gb sd card, 1 partition and copied all the files to the root of my sd.

Any help would be great...

Quote from: sx20 CHDK wiki
The SX20 CHDK DOES NOT support the manual loading method through the firmware update mechanism !
? start CHDK from a CHDK-bootable SD card

I hope this will be implemented in the future...

I've tried the bootable option with SDM also,  but i did not see anything regarding chdk when i started my cam.
I will try it again tonight. ... it must work ....

Anyone knows how to use Motion Detection with video on SX20IS?
Since this script would help anyone using other types of cameras with dedicated video buttons as well, I posted the script in another forum: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,1596.msg55688.html#msg55688
