Hot pixel removal doesn't work

i mapped one pixel with show_bad.exe, moved the file into CHDK/badpixel,
but nothing changed.
Should it work for fast shutter speeds? (1/100). The white pixel appears ALWAYS excepting tshutter >1s.
Isn't mistake in the pixel position calculation?

EXAMPLE: show_bad returned: 1341,1020
manually located in xnview:raw(3112x2328)  1301,1004
manually jpg(3072x2304)1285,996
What is the cause of different results? How can i find out the right coords?
UPDATE:It doesn't work. I made a list of square 5xpixels and tried to find it but haven't found.

Check if the file "badpixel" have correct format and be carefull if you are using Windows Notepad. I've also thought that this function doesn't work until I've read this file with 'Text  File Reader" under CHDK menu. It had some additional signs between digits and CHDK HotPixelRemoval seems not working. I've used coordinates that show_bad had returned. Tested on S5IS.

Best Regards,
Chris.

I too have a problem on making the badpixel removal work.
Program show_bad.exe creates a file with 2 pixels coordinates. I put it into CHDK dir on the sd card, but nothing happens. When opening the file with Text file reader in CHDK menu I don't see any strange or additional signs between digits.

I'm using a S5IS.

Thanks for any help.

You can try to change badpixel file formatting from Windows to Unix - it can be done in EditPad, EditPlus, TextPad. Then Bad-Pixel-Removal should work correctly.
Best Regards,
Chris.

On a Powershot G9 firmware 1.00D, it doesn't work.

On a black photo in cr2 raw, Pixel Fixer finds the pixels : (488,1332), (914,2184), (1656,1314) and (2052,2771)
With a CRW  (4 tries to have a good file), show_bad.exe finds : (552,1356), (978,2208),(1720,1338) and (2116,2795)

It's the same pixels with X+64 and Y+24.

I create the badpixel file with the number of show_bad and I make another black picture.

Pixel Fixer detects the olds pixels + (396,1106) and (751,1816)

I create a badpixel file with a line of pixels (100,100),(200,200)...(3000,3000)
And on the result picture, the pixels are:
1387   59 / 2839   142 / 186   226 / 1637   309 / 3089   392 / 436   476 / 1887   559 / 3339   642.....

Here 0000112: powershot G9 (100 f) CRW files are often corrupted - CHDK Bugtracker reported that RAW files for G9 are often corrupted.
Try create badpixel only from first after camera power-on RAW.

I know that CRW are often corrupted
With a CRW  (4 tries to have a good file)...

The problem is : the "Hot pixel removal" doesn't remove anything but ADD new hot pixels.
