The cameras with HDMI connectors have an i2c interface (required by the HDMI standard to transfer the encryption keys). There are two functions in the firmware, to get/send data via i2c. I don't have a HDMI connector or a usb to i2c interface, but was wondering if anyone explored this possibility. It could be very neat to be able to get the data to/from the camera that way.
