Ok!...and now??I'll like to have a try with this mods and if all is working fine it's possible to add it to next build..
Oh, sorry.  I had got side tracked on my DoF mods.
Here is a build for SX10 103a.
I've also included generic\wrappers.c and platform\sx10\sub\103a\capt_seq.c which are the only files modified for this at present if you want to play around with your own building and testing.
The build and files are from trunk version 841.
For other models and builds, the appropriate disassembled code will be needed for the additional version specific FW code to be added to platform\sx10\sub\103a\capt_seq.c

This has the full, unlimited av overrides with corresponding offsetting for zooming as discussed above, as well as the modification to apex2us for shutter speed overrides.

I would like to add this to the autobuild, but some testing should be done beforehand which I haven't completed.

Also note that to get the apertures greater than f16 (when zooming), you'll need to write a script as the CHDK interface has that limited to f16.

Your mods works fine so i think they can be included into autobuild's...i tested intensively and the 10is is working fine.I think that f16 or f32 apertures are so far useless but if we can why we don't have it?:D

I'll see what I can do about making sure it's good to go.

I will be completing and posting a wide variety of aperture tests when I get around to completing them.  Yes, the F16(wide)/F32(zoom) do have a good amount of diffraction noise.  I agree that if we can, why not have them (somebady may have some use for them, diffraction aside). To me getting larger than F8 on full zoom is worth it as I've been trying out macro photography with the raynox macro lenses which work on the zoom end.  The extra depth of field here may be very worthwhile as the depth of field on these macro lenses is small to begin with.
