Hello
I've downloaded CHDK from download page. I've put everythig from inside of zip file onto card via card reader.
I start camera in playback mode.
I press Set+display - doesn't work - do nothing.
I run firmware update. With 101b camera hangs, with 101a it blinks green led and still works without any change.
Do I need firmare update from Canon?
What am I doing wrong?

- use the 101a version, this should be the correct one for you
- there's no fw update from Canon for you...

Just press PRINT to enter <Alt> mode, then press MENU to enter the CHDK main menu...

i've read about Canon firmware update on

After CHDK firmware update i'm trying to press print button (right-down corner) but nothing. No CHDK menu appears.
And i know why - CHDK isn't loaded, no splash screen.


My camera is labeled as Canon Digital Ixus 50 and i'm trying tu load this CHDK: http://mighty-hoernsche.de/bins/ixus50_sd400-101a-0.9.8-820-full.zip
Maybe I should use something other?

I still can't check firmware version (set+print doesn't work). I've read that on card the last one must be a picture but it didn't help.

So I don't know which firmware should I use, but none of them works. Are there available some older CHDK builds? Maybe there is an error in current build?

ok, i put ver.req instead of vers.req and I can check firmware version:

Canon Digital Ixus 50
P-ID: 310E PAL

Firmware version:GM1.00D
E18

FocusLensError

Adj. Ver.001.006MT1

It seems that such firmware revision is uknown...

ok, i've done Canon's firmware upgrade and now I have 1.0.1a, and CHDK loads fine :)
