DNG on Canon PowerShot A630

I am getting a good deal on a brand new Canon PowerShot A630 and am tempted to buy it. Before I do that, I wish to know:
a) Can the CHDK version for A630 save raw files in DNG format?
b) Is the color matrix for A630 CHDK raw files Ok? (I have read complaints about A630 raw files, that they have a greenish tint).

I'd be grateful for any information on the above two questions.

hi there,

I have a A640, pretty similar to A630 and I managed to tweak it to shoot DNG.
It was a little tricky, because the DNG option didn't work from scratch and I had trouble creating badpixel.bin
Now I use a dummy file and it works!

I cannot answer your 2nd question though.
A640 RAW-files are just superb.

I'm a PS A630 user (Love that camera, btw). I have seen NO greenish (or any other color) tint in the RAW files. They come out perfectly.

As far as DNG, I installed DNG4PS2 and it works perfectly to convert the files as they're uploaded from the camera. You might want to give that a try.
