Hi all,

I am looking for a cheap 12MP camera that
- runs CHDK and
- can take a Nikon FC-E8 circular fisheye lens

Does the canon IXUS 960 / SD950 have  thread or bayonet?
If so, whats the diameter?

AFAIK none of the ixus/SD series have external lens adapters available for them ...
I suggest you do some googling on Canon lens adapters to see what's available
and narrow down your choice of camera that way

PS all adapters for Canon appear to use thread, most often 52 or 58 mm diameter

Take a look to the wikia's Cameras page, on most pages you'll find images & also links to reviews etc.

For most (newer) Powershots Canon don't offer lens adapters, but for some models there are 3rd party adapters available...

The SX10 for example is one of those cameras...

The canon spec page for each camera also lists the available accessories. The ones that have a lens adapter will list optional addon lenses.
