S2 IS "Zoom shoot" not woking

I have been trying to get the "zoom shoot" script to work on my S2 is. Has anyone got this to work on a S2?

I have Zoomed at the fast rate as noted then ran the script, set the speed lower and higher in script. I have also set a few more sleeps to see if that would help.
It gets as far as set zoom 0, shoots and then it crashes when zooming to the next step. Crash = zoom in and then stop and power off.
I would like to figure out how to use zoom properly so that I can add the functions into my own scripts.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not a good answer but it works.
Set Manual Focus, keep long sleeps(100), slow down zoom speed (80)
A know problem which hasn't been resolved.

Setting the speed to 80 seems to work. I am not sure why the script was using 1-10. I hard set it to 80. Should that have been *96?
I am wondering if I should also put a limit to the zoom at 128. It seemed to be fine without one, not sure if the CHDK code limits the value.
