Hi!

i just wanted to ask one thing:

- does the A640 accept LUA? i read in the wiki it hasn't been tested, but i don't know if it's outdated or if it's still like that... just wanted to know if there's any other place to check for that.

i know that lotto.lua works on my A640, i'm not sure if that means anything or as it's a simple script it's easier not to get any problem...

lua is support on all CHDK cameras. Generally speaking the same functionality is available on all cameras, although obviously there's a few thing that depend on hardware or quirks of a particular port.

"Lua library test

If the libraries have not already been tested on your camera and firmware version, you should run the script before attempting to use them. This script tests the various IO and OS functions, generating /llibtst.log and reporting pass or fail in the console. If not all tests are run, or there are failures, it may leave other files or directories in the root.

Failures could crash your camera. It is also possible, although not likely, that it could corrupt your SD card. Use caution if your camera has not been tested.

and thought it meant not all cameras support it, i guess i gotta explore more... :)

That page should probably be updated, I don't think we've had any serious failures in that area.
