Does the scripting language allow the user to analyse the histogram?

One thing I would love to do is to take a picture, analyse the histogram, and take additional pictures if needed, as long as all the dynamic is not recorded, changing the exposure bias between shots...

If the histogram array could be read, it is very easy to do (I already made such analyse in python, in less than 50 lines).

You might want to look at shot_histo_enable and get_histo_range. The source for these is in core/shot_histogram.c in CHDK source if you want to see how they work.

These operate on the raw buffer of the preceding shot, not the live histogram.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I only need the histo of the previous shot, to analyse it and decide how to shoot the next one. So, that's perfect!
