I loved my first 8086 PC with  MSDOS 3.0 and Norton Commander 3.0 (or 2.0?)  :D

Eh.. My first personal computer was 80286 with MSDOS 3.0 also. But I used the Dos Navigator instead of NC3.
I think, the generation which started from DOS still likes console file managers. (I hate Explorer) :)

And Far Manager was absolutely free (even no crack needed :) ) for xUSSR citizens (or for who is able read cyrillic :) ).
BTW. From October 26th 2007 the unicode development version of Far Manager 1.80 is distributed with its source code under the revised BSD license.

I don't like DOS like console, probably because my first computer is 233 PII with windows 98  :D

give one's word, tha I'll try soon this incredible software far manager + colorer plugin :lol (i joke)

...but also Eclipse + CDT it's free and compatible with MinGW+MSYS, it's enough light and speed (use SWT, not Swing)...never as FAR  :)

and for who don't know the structure of CHDK source is very useful, you can see where and what is the function declaration, tree of the function call, formatting text (not so good in some chdk files), etc...


BTW...if you have made all CHDK with this fantastic program: RESPECT!
