I love using CHDK.  Thank you SO MUCH for it!! :xmas

I've got a problem, though...I got three SDHC 8GB Class 4 cards so I can record 60 minutes of 640x480 30fps video on my SX110IS and two A550s (or A560, I can't remember).  The only problem is, the video never records straight for 60 minutes...On the SX110IS, it records for 4GB, stops, and you have to start it again, and on the A550s, it records for 2GB, so you have to restart it three times.

Any clue why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

Unfortunately, absolutely nothing can be done about that ...
FAT32 file systems just don't allow filesizes bigger than 4 GB
Curious that the A550 already stops at 2 GB - assuming that
you're recording to FAT32 that would point to another reason
than the file system.

Duh! - I've run into that limit before, but it just didn't occur to me here!  ::)

Would CHDK and the camera work with NTFS?

No, the Canon firmware do not support NTFS, thereforeCHDK can't help...

Is there an intervalometer (or something) that I could use to automatically take two 4GB videos back-to-back, with no user intervention in between?  I tried it with Ultra Intervalometer and couldn't get it to work.

You could easily make a script which presses shoot to start the movie, waits for a long time, presses shoot again to stop, waits a while for the video to finish saving, presses shoot again to start a new movie. Your files would not end up exactly 4gb, but you should be able to get fairly close (keep in mind there is also a 30 minute limit anyway)

You may also be able to monitor the size of the file in lua using os.stat() or the free disk space function.
