A470 General questions

Hello Everybody,
I'm new to CHDK so I have a couple of questions regarding what can be done with CHDK on a A470.

Can the commands "get_av" and  "set_av" be used to change the exposure?
Can the commands "get_tv" and "set_tv" be used to change the speed?
Can the focus be set to an specific distance using the "get_focus" "set_focus" commands?

     Thanks in advance and regards
              Ramiro

Hi Ramiro (it's Dave Mitchell from the KAP group here). Only another A470 user could tell you for sure, but I just peeked at the source code for the A470 and there's a proper aperture table (used for set_av) and get/set focus routines, so I think all the commands you mention should work fine.

PS Just read reyalps post below - ignore what I say about set_av - I'm sure he's right.

A470 does not have a real aperture (none of the a4xx cams do AFAIK)

You should still be able to get/set tv and focus.

From my experience, any canon that has an adjustable aperture will have an Av mode in the canon firmware.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
