Hi there,

I tried your DISKBOOT and found those things:

1) I set the camera to TV and select a shutter speed, for example 1/40.
Then I open the CHDK menu, and leave it again.
Now, the shutter speed is not 1/40 anymore, but 1/160.
Same happens with other shutter speeds, and happens also in M mode.
The ALT/S key in the original menu is set to the first option "Not Available".

2) The original histogram is enabled. I open the CHDK menu, and the histogram is now painted on top of the menu.

3) After leaving the CHDK menu, ALT is still enabled. Don't know if this is actually a bug, or if it is possible to disable that. I think it is a bit annoying.

Thank you anyway for the beta build!

cheers,
Benedikt

AWESOME work, ERR99! So far it looks great, athough that white stretched rectangle on the left side of the screen bugs me a little. It disappears upon pressing the shutter though. Then appears again. Furthermore I noticed that CHDK seems to appear as an overlay on top of the original G11 menue, which makes it look somewhat clumsy at times.

- Optional: Copy the standard CHDK folder on your sd-card (to get the nice splash-screen and so)

Where to get the mentioned folder? Splash-Screen? You bet! :P

...the CHDK file space indicator ;)

Expand one of the full packages from the Autobuild Server to the card, delete the ps.fi2 and & replace the diskboot.bin with the G11 beta binary ;)

I can confirm this works on GM1.00K firmware, even though CHDK boot screen posts J.

I'm going to be honest, I'm a little sad. The only think that made my G7 better than G10/G11 was CHDK support. Esp now that my dad bought a G11 and I still have a G7. =[

I'm only visiting my dad atm, leaving in two weeks so I'm happy to do any testing till then.

That is useful to know.

Do you know when the camera was bought ?

Hi

I have GM 1.00K as well. Bought it on Jan 8. And most of it works...

Another bug I found:
sometimes, when I open a sub-menu or go one menu back, the menu disappears. As soon as I press UP, DOWN or SET key or turn the wheel again, the menu appears again and everything works fine.
I tell how to reproduce it, it just happens some times.

cheers,
Ben
