#1 - Awesome work!  I have been watching from day one and you all have come a long way in a short time.  Very exciting stuff.

#2 - Here is the rub:  What are the chances of getting HD video working on the G11?  This is one of those features that I think is probably within the capability of the G11 hardware but might have left out of the C firmware by C on purpose.

#3 - I also would like to see the ability to set a maximum ISO on the AUTO setting.

HD is the BIG question...

I am still working on getting this setup on on a 128 MB SD card.  Since I am on a Mac I am using the Terminal to do this and it does not like the size of the card...even though I have seen someone on this forum running CHDk off of a 32 MB card (I think).

THANKS!

CHDK only needs a couple of megs, aside from extras like scripts. Make sure you have the card preped for autoboot; since there's no PS.FI2 file, you can't boot CHDK from the Firmware Upgrade menu.

ERR99 is still working to get the basic features of CHDK working; also, I assume no other CHDK build has HD support, so HD video is probably still a while yet.

The sensor of the G11 does not support HD video, so this will not be changed bij CHDK. Apparently, a higher sensitivity sensor makes it more difficult to have high video resolution. Therefore Canon chose not to have HD, but to have higher ISO capabilities.
The sensor can handle a bit higher resolutions as VGA, but not 720p or higher.

Almost certainly zero.

Very unlikely. The camera market is very competitive, HD is a significant selling point, and Canon doesn't have anything higher in that the same line-up that does HD. Conclusion: If they could just turn it on, they would.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Lets try a modified udumper. I am not sure if it works with 1.00F, but we will see. ;)
Thank you for the detailed instructions. Please find below the link to the renamed "empty.dum".
