    Nope. No automatic power on via usb-cable. You have to press PLAY or ON/OFF button, after connecting the usb-cable, to power on the G11.

    I have started trying to port to SDM.

    A bit of a pain as I use Canon shooting-mode values.

    I found string AC:PTM_Init but do not recognise any likely mode values nearby.

    I have asked someone to monitor property case 49 while rotating the mode dial.

    Hi,
    take a look at shooting.c, the values of Propcase 49 for G11 are the same as in the modemap array:
    Code: [Select]
    tatic const CapturemodeMap modemap[] = {
    { MODE_AUTO,               32768  },
    { MODE_P,                  32772  }, // also C1,C2
    { MODE_TV,                 32771  },
    { MODE_AV,                 32770  },
    { MODE_M,                  32769  },

    { MODE_VIDEO_COLOR_ACCENT, 2601   },
    { MODE_VIDEO_COLOR_SWAP,   2602   },
    { MODE_VIDEO_STD,          2603   },

    { MODE_SCN_NIGHT_SNAPSHOT, 16395  },
    { MODE_SCN_LANDSCAPE,    16396  },
    { MODE_SCN_PORTRAIT,       16397  },
    { MODE_SCN_NIGHT_SCENE,    16398  },
    { MODE_SCN_KIDS_PETS,      16400  },
    { MODE_SCN_INDOOR,         16401  },
    { MODE_SCN_SUNSET,         16402  },
    { MODE_SCN_FOLIAGE,        16403  },
    { MODE_SCN_SNOW,           16404  },
    { MODE_SCN_BEACH,          16405  },
    { MODE_SCN_FIREWORK,       16406  },
    { MODE_SCN_UNDERWATER,     16407  },
    { MODE_SCN_AQUARIUM,       16408  },
    { MODE_SCN_SPORT,         16903  },
    { MODE_SCN_STITCH,         16906  },
    { MODE_SCN_COLOR_ACCENT,   16923  },
    { MODE_SCN_COLOR_SWAP,     16924  },

    { MODE_LOWLIGHT,        32799  },
    { MODE_QUICK,           33313  }

    };

    I found string AC:PTM_Init but do not recognise any likely mode values nearby.
    The actual mode table is several functions away from the reference to this string. The patter is very similar on all recent cameras.

    For G11 100j the canon mode list is at FFBE7010
    Don't forget what the H stands for.

    Yes, thanks, I found it after the tester sent me the results so I was able to tell him he had missed two of the video modes.

    I do not have the stamina to wade through endless compiler errors right now, I will continue tomorrow.

    @ERR99:

    Did you ever find the address for _GetCurrentTargetDistance()  ?

    I am told the G11 has a ND filter.
    If correct, that should be added to camera.h.
