Just received my G11 today and made a dump of the 1.00L firmware as I havent seen this anywhere yet :(, I used ERR_99`s modified udumper bin and it seems to have worked fine...

If the wizzes could take a look that would be fantastic :) thank you

Hi everyone,
I've been mucking about with CHDK on an old TX1 and have been so impressed I went out and bought a G11.

its has the 1.00L version of the firmware, anyway im keen to help to get it working.

Heres what i got using the ver.req file.

Adj Ver.003.009

SubCPU Ver 0.06
Mecha Frim Ver. 3.04
I used the mac installer script to try out the K version.
Turn the camera on and nothing visible happens.
Take the card out, still nothing happens.
Remove the battery and put in back in without the card and the camera boots as normal without chdk. (phew).

maybe i should not have even tried that but I'm still under warranty :)

I've got a Software engineering background but am new to firmware programming.

I've also had a go at compiling CHDK, but I cant compile the ARM GCC toolchain on Snow Leopard. (still working on this)

Anyway, I'm keen to help. Do we need another firmware dump or is the one above enough?

One dump is enough...

Marc, I guess owners with the G11 and 100L firmwares will be coming out of the woodwork more and more now, so hopefully a port will be looked at with the developers on this one soon.

I had the same as you with booting up a different firmware, tried them all, absolutely nothing. Bit scarey as I didnt expect that at first.

Hello.
I have made some analysis and found custom white balance property case.
Information is stored in Wiki here: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/PropertyCase#PropertyCase_NOT_found
Developers with access to camera now needed to verify this property case value.
If value is correct please update wiki (move value to table) or post information here and I will update it myself.
The format of custom WB data is the same as for other cameras: 28bytes of data (7 ints).

Oh dear, another FW for the G11... Anyway, the fw-dump looks good. A binary compare to the old fw-versiones shows a lot of changes, so it is normal that the current versions of CHDK are not working for 1.00L. I am currently a little bit busy, so i dont know exactly when i will find some free time to start a "blind" port CHDK for the 1.00L fw-version. I still only have the 1.00J FW on my G11,  so i cant test a 1.00L fw port on my camera.
