notes: 1. there's still some older file versions (i.e. gui_osd.c.org or gui_osd.c.wim etc)
          2. about my english.lng: no offense to Jucifer, but I find 'Show States' too vague  :D
              and how do you like the 'Show Battery MAX Voltage (mV)' etc. ?

by the way to make it more "compliant" with the already existing code, we should move the filespace stuff from gui_batt to a new file maybe gui_misc where can put our "teststuff" in.

i'm so much into programming right now, it actually makes fun. in school/university it's so boring because you write stuff you cannot use personally.

hehe, first time i actually used the new filespace icon/text in a usecase: my sdcard was empty, so everything was on 100% free, not good to test the new icon. so i started movie rec and let the cam alone, only looking at it once in a while. after a few minutes i saw: okay, one gig gone, good start to test the new icon, with 50% :D

edit: while writing this, up to now there was no way to find out the remaining minutes in video rec mode. with the filespace text you can actually pretty well see how much minutes you have left (1 mb about 1 second here on my a620).
MAYBE, really just MAYBE we could write a function that estimates the remaining video time by "logging" how fast the filespace is draining, so you have like a value of say, 1.5 mb/s average. with the remaining filespace you can easily show the remaining time.
normally the remaining time is only shown when NOT in movie recording mode, a feature i miss on my a620. the more i write about it, the more possible it sounds to me. but i wont program it if there aint more people interested in that feature :D

       but like you i love programming & have recently lost my job (don't
       feel sorry I love it) so have more time for it - except when they're
       redoing my house, that kill's the concentration  >:(

Tryed last build ... after all I really don't need raw indicator in video mode, filespace indicator is enough, so I must agree ... it's better to leave it this way. Satisfied

Just an idea, when you half-press the shutter in photo mode, big Canon's jpeg counter disappears, so it doesn't cover the picture on LCD and you can compose/recompose the picture better. Maybe raw and filespace indicators could also be hidden at half-press ? But filespace indicator should be on during video recording, like Canon's minute_second counter

hey, you should team up with barney, he must be your age :D i'm always sorry for someone who lost the job, no matter if he's happy about it or not, sorry :p redoing the house, at least they do that during the day, i live in a loud "party neighbourhood". normally i'm always in for a party, but lately i've been programming :D

vit40, the half-press thing can be done, i reckon. but not in high-priority mode right now ;)

Had a look at the batt - space split-up. Will need careful checking but then
i don't think there'll be noise tomorrow  :)  so I'll see what I come up with.

You have seen/DL'd  the #112 only-modded-src I hope ?
Don't know what I was thinking uploading the WHOLE source, without
batch-clean on top of it  ::)

About drawing - why cant we show real graphics, in fact ?
Canon does it in their menu's ...
That way you wouldn't have to draw, just snatch an icon lib  :D
