I want to take 12 up to 16 raw photos as quickly as possible.
Hot Pixels can be dealt with after the fact.

Assuming perfect lighting and some SD write speed...
How quickly can a script do this on which Canon Camera?

I will consider anything from the 16MPixel SLRs down to some low level powershot.

Unless you are talking about dark frame subtraction (which takes exactly the same time as the original exposure) bad pixel removal time is negligible.

If you are using CHDK, be sure to use CHDK raw not DNG.

On most CHDK cameras, RAW gives you very little. If speed is your primary concern, consider max quality jpeg instead.

The SX1 is probably the fastest shooting CHDK camera, and includes native raw support. See http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/CanonSX1IS/page4.asp for details.

CHDK does not run on DSLRs
