Now I am new to this, being the last camera I had was a PowerShot A75, but the firmware for this camera has been dumped and the addresses all divided and labeled.

Looking though the .bin file and the strings.txt I found that I would need a knowledge of C and somehow with a modification/exploit of a start-up/or button routine in the camera I can run CHDK off the SD card.

Can anyone help me out and advise me for Addresses to look at and modify? I can look at other ported versions, but I wouldn't know where the vulnerabilities are.

More useful information can be found at http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/For_Developers

You need a reasonable understanding of the code (at least the platform and loader parts) to make a port. You also need to know C and have some grasp of assembler. There is no alternative, no one can just tell you what to do.

I know I can't have someone direct me...but I am learning java, which is similar to C and C++ ( I know they have major differences ) and I don't think it'd be too much of a task to learn C. Even if it's a jump from high-level commands to low-level commands. I would have to learn about the parts and platform some other way though...
