OK, thanks. Maybe this some sort of bug? (undocumented 'feature')
FWIW, the UNK KEY error does not know which keys a particular camera has. It will only appear if the key name is completely unknown to CHDK (doesn't exist on *any* camera)

That suggests either:
- You have corrupted the script somehow, probably by saving it in the wrong format
- There is a bug in the code. There were recent changes in this area, so it is possible.

Does it always give the "unk key" error when the script tries to shoot, or only sometimes ?
Don't forget what the H stands for.

BTW: I extracted the zip file and copied the file to the SDHC card, unmounted the card, inserted it in the camera etc, so very little room for corruption.

You might be surprised how many people manage to corrupt text files by just copying them in ways unknown to software engineers. But I'll take your word you did it right :)

If you have an older version of CHDK or if you're comfortable building one from SVN (especially under Windows it's really quite easy using the tools from http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK-Shell) you could try one to see if one of the recent changes (3 months should be enough?) broke ubasic for you.

Another issue:

I set up the Ixus 860 with MD Fast Version 080914.
ISO 200, manual setting.
On a stand, to get some lightning.

And yes, the camera is triggered, yet it was too slow to actually capture a lighting in the sky.
Also the camera still beeped when it triggered and the red sign at the bottom left corner of the screen was flashing.
(is this normal?)

I believe the script was set for fast shooting.
But how can I improve on this failure?
What did I mess up?

(also posted in the writing scripts forum by mistake)
