H everyone, first, I'm a CHDK user (on my A590) for almost a year now and it's just amazing ! feel like a mini SLR

.
But I have a problem now with my camera. It take 2AA batteries, when I got it, they lasted around 2 weeks, but now, a year and a half later, a new pair of battery last maybe 2 hours at max. After some hours, the camera will show the red blinking icon on screen, and soon after that, I'll get a "Change the Batteries" message and the camera will shut down.
What's weird is that I don't always have that, if I insist and keep powering the camera, after 5-6 try, it will power up and show me some power remaining (usually between 30 and 60%). I tried cheap batteries, major brands and rechargeable ones... all same result.
Now, I really don't think that might related to the usage of CHDK, but I know there's a lot of camera enthusiast here and I hope someone might have a clue about what's happening to my camera. Also, as my Canon warranty is certainly over, and i'm skilled in electronics, I would had no problem opening disassembling the camera if someone one can pinpoint the trouble.
Thanks to everyone for your time, and thanks to the CHDK team for all they works !!
