Thanks reyalp, I'll give it a whirl this weekend.  With some luck I'll figure it out.

I just learned about the CHDK port for the A1100 and am very excited!  I have it working now and am exploring the features.  A big thanks to everyone who has been working on this port!

I found that some features work (bracketing, most of the screen display (like battery voltage)) some work partially (high iso, but not low shutter) some don;t work at all (like real time zebra). RAW is saved, but I have had no success in reading it. Which one have you found are working?

hha1,

It sounds like you've done a lot more testing than I have!  My main motivation for installing CHDK was to use the bracketing feature, which does seem to be working.  I can confirm that the zebra-striping is not yet working.  RAW files are indeed saved, but I have not tried to view them yet.  That's pretty much all I've tested so far.

One particular problem I have run into is that the OSD menu seems to go away when I'm in the middle of navigating through it sometimes.  This issue seems to pop up unpredictably. Has anyone else noticed this?

Again, my sincerest thanks to all those who have worked on the port.

Yes, I've noticed the disappearing menu, too. It didn't happen for me until the most recent release.

This is normal for CHDK. Our OSD and canon OSD don't play well together.

Unlikely that this is a CHDK difference. It is fairly random, but is influenced by how much the canon firmware updates the display, so different modes or settings can have it more or less frequently.

the raw file cant be open directly.you must use the dng4ps2 to convert it to dng file.
Then open the dng file. But the dng file's color is not right opened by most software.
I have no color palettem.so cant let the color right.
But the IrfanView software can open the dng file with right color.

Maybe, IrfanView shows a JPG preview included in DNG? Light Room also shows in right colors when displays a tumbnail of DNG file, but after import into database, colours become incorrect.

xiaofeng

Good work.

I have the dng4ps2 program. If finds the .cr2 file, but complains that the camera type is unknown. The version of dng4ps does not have the profile for the A1100 as an option. Where do you get the right profile for the A1100?

Thanks.
