Found a post several weeks ago by Xiaofeng.

In dng4ps2

1.select a650 is
2.copy
3.In camera Properties set the BitsPerUnit=12
4. Rename Copy of a650is as A1100is (just cosmetic)
5. In camera menu select A1100
6. Select Hit convert.

Now dng4ps2 (the latest beta release) converts the PS2 files to .dng files.
I always save a 5 Mpixel jpg file (5Mp.jpg) with the raw file. But all is not well.

If
    dng4ps2 can find the matching 5Mp.jpg file (i.e. they are both in the same directory),
    and  the user has selected to include a preview file,
then
         dng4ps2 includes the 5Mp.jpg file in the dng file
         When the .png file is opened in IrfanView, then only the 5Mp jpg file is displayed
end;

If
    dng4ps2 can't find the matching 5Mp.jpg file (i.e. the user hides it in another directory),
    and  the user has not selected to include a preview file,
then
         dng4ps2 creates a dng file
         When the .png file is opened in IrfanView, then the displayed 12 Mp image is extremely color shifted
end;

If
    dng4ps2 can't find the matching 5Mp.jpg file (i.e. the user hides it in another directory),
    and  the user has selected to include a preview file,
then
    dng4ps2 stops with an error message and no .png file is created
end;

It looks like CHDK uses some parameters for the A1100 (other than the 12 bit change) which are not the same as the A650is. When dng4ps2 realizes this parameter error, and there was no request to create a preview file, then dng4ps2 does the best it can and  creates a severely color shifted image.

This explains why in there is sometimes no difference between the 5Mp.jpg and the alleged raw conversion.

If your method works, please post the procedure.
If you have similar problems, please describe what you are doing, and maybe we can figure out what is going on.

@hha1 I think the image would be correct if you managed to get the calibrated values for the color matrix.  Unfortunately I never managed to calculate the color matrix for my camera.  I don't know if they still work on this thread anymore but http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,390.0.html might be able to get you values to use on the matrix but the thread seems kind of dead now. So you can also try it yourself http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/DNG4PS-2/Calibration

Yes, the camera still needs calibration for RAW. I haven't had the time to get a color palette with the 24 colors and photograph it. If any of you can get that palette (before I can) and take a picture in RAW, post it so the port can continue its development.

I took a picture of a Gretag Macbeth 24 color chart using the A1100, saved as 17 MByte .CR2 file and 3.4 MByte in high quality jpeg. iso100, sun illuminated, MyColors=off, Daylight white balance. The chart covers about 50% of the full area of the picture. The jpeg looks good. How do you want me to send it? I put both files into a 17 MByte zip file. I can send it by email, but an ftp site would be better. The "yousendit" ftp site may work.

First of all - thanks for the porting CHDK on this camera.)

Did anyone try to test diskboot.bin on another 1.00 firmware versions (i.e. 1.00A, 1.00B)?

First of all - thanks to xiaofeng and everybody helping to port CHDK for the A1100.

Here is the link for a zipfile containing the 18 Mb raw and the matching 3 Mp  jpg  of the GertagMacBeth 4 x6 color image. It was taken with overcast sky illumination coming through a window. with WB set to daylight. MyColors=off, exposure compensation -0.7EV. jpg save in high quality 12 Mpixel. The white in the jpg has a slight blue cast.

The file will be available for 7 Days or 100 downloads on
https://www.yousendit.com/download/YWhQTmZYQzM4Q1R2Wmc9PQ

Hope it works.
