Edit: ACID says A1100 IS, fw: 100a.
Attached is a test build and its source files. Can you try and report whether it's working?
If it doesn't work, you could try getting a firmware dump to rule out fw corruption.

The port is based on nafraf's work (both the official 100c and his outdated unofficial source). I don't know what source was used for his 100a test build.

This one seems to work - wohoo, many thanks!

Need to test it on my other sd-card and play around with it - but now the cam already starts (with chdk).

If you can confirm that the port is actually usable (for example, saves RAW/DNG), I can make this official.

It seems that it does not save .dng, but .cr2 seems to work...furthermore sometimes some symbols are only white places after cam-startup, but could be fixed by pressing ´display´. And sometimes the menu is flickering a bit, very shortly, don´t know why...but in general it works.

I don't know what the problem really is, so just some guesses:
- DNG (and many other features) will not work if CHDK can't access its modules (the files in the CHDK/MODULES directory). Make sure the CHDK directory and its files are copied to the card (if it's a dual partition card, they need to be copied to the bigger partition).
- if you're connecting the camera to the PC to get the pictures, the DNG files may not show up if you're using the .DNG file extension. You can read about other options in the manual.
Using DNG is recommended due to its meta-data and compatibility.

furthermore sometimes some symbols are only white places after cam-startup, but could be fixed by pressing ´display´.
It's normal for proper CHDK colors to appear after the CHDK logo begins to show, but this is probably not what you're talking about. (you can upload a screenshot to clarify)

The CHDK display is fighting with the Canon overlay, so some amount of flicker is always present. This is worse in shooting mode (depending on your camera settings). You can switch to playback mode for browsing the CHDK menu.

.dng-files are there, I can see the files with the internal browser - but not on my pc, and I can´t find a "dng visible through usb"-option in the menu...is there another way to copy them/make them visible on pc except changing partitions? But saving seems to work.

This is normal, the "dng visible through usb" option is unfortunately only available on some old cameras.

See this post for some ways to transfer DNG over USB http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=12641.msg125187#msg125187
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thanks for the illustration. I now think you're experiencing the issue mentioned here.
Nafraf's patch did not include the firmware variable named 'palette_control'. I think I managed to identify it.
Can you test the attached build?

Sorry for waiting so long...

Edit: The 4278 works better. In 4285 I got the the same problem in 1 of ~5 starts, furthermore the red Chdk-startup-symbol is now completely white, sometimes it flashes/is visible for 0.1 second - the ´old´ one shows it normal every start.

I´ll for now leave the 4278 inside the cam, it works better. If the symbols are away/white like seen in the photo, I press a button and thats it.

Arrrgh...testing isnt easy.
Now I installed the 4278 on my larger sdhc - and it looks like I got the same problem...white startupsymbol. Need to check this again.........

Edit: Ok, on an old normal 2gb-card 4285 seems to run fine! On 8gb sdhc both seems to have the white-startup-symbol-problem. But I am too tired now to try more with the in-use-symbols, as there seem to be a general problem anyhow with the sdhc-card. Now I leave the 4285 on the 2gb-card and use it, if I find problems, I come back here.

I am not sure which card I used the last time, are these sdhc-problems normal for this cam?
