In the mean time I have come up with a better procedure to take Gretagmacbeth pictures. The exposure has to just right. Bracketing helps. As soon as I get your new diskboot.bin file I'll send you a better RAW/jpeg set. hha

Did anyone try to test diskboot.bin on another 1.00 firmware versions (i.e. 1.00A, 1.00B)?
I haven't been able to read the raw pictures on the computer afterwards...
Yes and yes, the result is a ~18Mb file that is not readable on the computer. I guess it may be the firmware.
I have got better color matrix for dng4ps (max error 9.9%)This was a good step forward, but there are still some puzzles.I used your .reg file to modify the Windows registry ( using RegEdit). Now saving the raw file does make some changes. I saved the jpeg as a 1600 x 1200 with mycolos=vivid. If dng2ps2 can't find the jpeg file, dng4ps2 processes the raw file into a .dng file, but IrfanView still produces a black picture. If I allow dng4ps2 to find the .jpg file, then the .png file read by IrfanView is a 2012 x 1509 image. This image is larger than the 1600x1200 .jpg file, with more resolution, a little more noise and less vivid colors, than the 1600x1200 jpeg file, but the red is a little muddy and the image it is smaller than the expected 4000 x 3000 file. Any good guesses why?hha
hha1"First, make sure you have settings in dng4ps like on the screenshot:"It does."JPEG is needed for adding metadata and preview in DNG"Tue."IrfanView shows only preview, not DNG image". This statement can't be true, since I provided only a 1600 x 1200 jpeg (2 Mp, along with the raw), dng4ps2 did something to create a file which showed up in IrfanView as a 3 Mp image. In addition, that image has some of the flavour of a raw development, i.e. a little more noise in exchange for a little more resolution, and none of the compression artifacts visible in the 1600 x 1200 jpg image. Its size is only 0.4 MBytes, compared to the 8 MByte dng file. Even if I take the raw with a 4000x3000 jpeg, IrfanView shows a 3 Mp image. "Try to convert .CR2 + 4000x3000 .JPG and use XnView for viewing"Will try, as soon as I locate a copy of XnView. What raw file did you use to get the "better" colormatrix?hha1
