I did a compare files using "HXD" (a hex program) using the .bin file included in your 09 / February / 2011 and the one i use from June by bvv-cp and the result was that the .bin files are identical, bit for bit. I'm sure you could compare them too.
Good work including the CHDK files into your post " A1100IS-100c-0.9.9-full.zip ". I don't believe anyone has done any original work on the A1100IS 1.00C .bin files since then. There are some parts that don't work correctly in it, but for the most part it works fine for my uses. I installed that bvv-cp .bin into my A1100IS 1.00C 5 or 6 months ago and have never had to re-install it over again, it has never locked up either. It works as described by others. Only diff being, originally i opened the .bin file into "HXD" and then used "HXD" to copy it diorectly into the home directory on my disk where the ver.req and the ps.fl2 files belong etc. and then added the rest of the CHDK directories and files.
I'm sorry, I don't know enough about the IDA Pro Free version and the CHDK-Shell compilers to complete the beta version. I have never been able to make a build for the A1100 using the info available. I work on an intel processor XP machine and have lots of errors. I have spent many more hours than i care to trying to resolve them and never gotten a compile for the A1100.
I believe their may be at least one sabatour (lol) writing in this thread as often their is conflicting info and the Revision 3 trunk info usefull only as a general guide. That's why i only check in every other month or so. I'm sure I'll be old and gray before any real progress is made, lol.
