Canon G9 Scripts Folder Empty

Howdy,
Canon G9 1.00d firmware.
Installed CHDK via Cardtricks on Windows XP.

Added 2 scripts (Intervalometer.bas & MoDe.bas) to CHDK/Scripts/ via Windows Explorer with the SD card in the Windows box. There are 2 folders in /Scripts/ already, EXAMPLE & TEST with scripts preloaded in them, the scripts are all either .bas or .lau.
I lock the SD card, install SD card in Cam, power up and CHDK loads on Cam startup. If I half press the shutter, it states that Default Script is loaded. When I try to load a different script(while <alt> is at bottom of screen and pushing FuncSet), the Scripts folder is empty and it doesn't show the Example or Test folder. I put the SD card back in the Windows box and all the scripts show up.

Do I need to "activate" these scripts elsewhere first?
Thank you for any assistance and please don't PM me possible solutions. Post them here so if any one else has this issue they can find help, too.

No; CHDK scripts are simple, plain text files, no kind of "activation" is needed (CHDK it's not a MS product

)

Do you use CHDK on a partitioned SD card, i.e. with two partitions ?

In this case you have to place the scripts (and also other files like fonts, grids etc.) on the 2nd partition.
With a multi partition setup (e.g. a small boot & a big data partition) CHDK starts from the first (small) partition and swaps over to the second one...

On further review, I do actually have 2 partitions. But, they don't show up in Windows Explorer. I had to go into the Disk Management Console to see the other one. It won't let me "Explore" it.

I suppose there is a DCIM folder on that other partition with the pics in it. Should the other folders such as Scripts be moved or copied to the other, larger Partition? Now to figure out how to Explore it . .

Windows can only access one (the first) partition with the standard drivers...read more here.

You can switch the partitions in the camera from the CHDK menu: this way, or by using the SDM installer: how-to.
You can also install a modified storage driver (Windows XP, 32bit version only), see the link in this post...

Thank You Very Much. Your information solved my issue.

Here's the process I used:
- From the CHDK menu, call Miscellaneous stuff -> Debug parameters -> Create card with two partitions
- Remove the card, use a card reader, format it, now you can access the first (2MB FAT12) partition
- Copy the files DISKBOOT.BIN and PS.FI2 to the root (or unzip the whole CHDK package)
- Now make the card bootable - this can be done either on a PC using a card reader (e.g. with Cardtricks) or
with CHDK (start manually, then call "Make card bootable..." from the "Miscellaneous stuff " menu)
- Lock the card, CHDK should autoboot now - you can also start CHDK manually again...
- Call "Swap partitions" from the "Miscellaneous stuff" - "Debug parameters" menu
Now the "big" partition is the first one an can be accessed...
- Format this partition using a card reader (NOT in the camera !), unzip CHDK to the card
- Start CHDK manually, then swap the partitions back.
