Hello All , sorry my question should be strange buty I am a newby and English is not my mother language. My concern is the following. I saw the CHDK firmware working on a SX10 and is great , now I have a SX20, where can I find a CHDK firmware for my camera. There are some parts that intereste me a lot , I am talk the command to take shots on movment like a surveillance camera.

Sorry Fe50 I am a Mozambican , and a newby on this area. Can you tell me what is you mean with fully ported, wich files do I have to download and how to use them? Thank you for your pacient.

Just receive my camera . I tried with that file    sx20_100f.7z with cards tricks and the operation only put two files on my card the ver file and the bin file.
When i star my camera no power comes , I am obliged to take card and batteries otherwise even with card out , the camera doens t initialaze. The card was protected yes. I was obliged to format the card for the camera work again with no problmes.
What worries me is a friend have a sx10 and the cardtrick instalation puts about five falis and a lot of directories.
Did I have installed incorrectlly?

what are the three files CHDK-sx20-100f-0.9.9-866.zip   CHDK-sx20-100f-0.9.8-839.zip CHDK-sx20-100f-0.9.8-836.zip for ?

The numbers indicate the CHDK source version they are based on ...
That means CHDK-sx20-100f-0.9.9-866.zip is the newest and should be the most functional.

If you can not get it to run, why not ask your friend (with the sx10) to prepare the card for you:
Just let him prepare your card the same way as his own (using your friend's sx10 files),
make the card bootable, remove the (sx10) PS.FI2, and then replace the (sx10) DISKBOOT.BIN on the card
with the (sx20) DISKBOOT.BIN from your CHDK-sx20-100f-0.9.9-866.zip. Then lock your card, put it
in your SX20 and start.
You will then have all the 'extra files' you asked about - they are the same for all camera's

We do that , replacing the bootdisl from sx20 and deleting the file you refer. After mounting the card protected on my camera, doesnt switch on , I have to unload the card , open battery container and close it agai to swich on without problem.
So the problem persists , do you think the card is not good?
