Someone uploaded shots of special target (Q-60) for XLProfiler taken by Canon A720. Can anybody calculate full profile in XLProfiler for this files?

Although I do not feel that I am sufficiently qualified, I decided to try anyway -- results attached.

Workflow:

1) dcraw -v -4 -T -o 0 -q 3 -A 918 2035 1530 110 CRW_2641.CR2
and
    dcraw -v -4 -T -o 0 -q 3 -A 908 2005 1400 128 CRW_2643.CR2

2) Preparing TIFF, carefully following Timo Autiokari's suggestions.

3) Solving the profile (Weight on Gamut), carefully following Timo Autiokari's suggestions.

Finally, tried to use the first of the created profiles with one of my shots (brightened and added a bit of saturation afterwards). This is also attached together with Canon's JPEG, so see for yourself. I would say, almost as good as Canon's. While this may sound discouraging to those who believe in RAW magic, the fact is that Canon's internal image processing is damn good. It's hard to compete with it.

I have to add that my cam is not A720 but IXUS950/SD850, but I believe their sensors (and therefore profiles) are identical.

Hi,

Found this topic and tried the profiles on my A720.  Results are very green, not good.
This is how I tried it:
dcraw.exe -v -h -p Canon_A720_2643.icm CRW_0007.CRW

These profiles were obtained after  white balancing (-A option of dcraw), so they are not suited for the initial raw. It was just a little experiment anyway. In any case, the target shots may not be entirely reliable -- the target appears old, and it is known that reflective Kodak targets may color-shift under "unsuitable" lighting, such as the UV in sunlight.
