Hello all,

I need to have full computer control over one of the following cameras:
         Canon PowerShot SX200 IS
         Canon PowerShot SX1 IS
         Canon PowerShot S5 IS   
      (if possible Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 (or Lumix DMC-FZ38) , too).

Computer programs like Cam2Com or Cam4You do not include them in the list of supported cameras but I see their lists are not updated soon.

Any suggestions about PC software to control cameras over USB or wireless?

At least the S5 IS is supported by gphoto (linux only). gphoto will allow remote control over USB.

try searching CHDK PTP
what you want is the ptp interface with CHDK
