Extra Photo Operations

Allbest (CHDK ver Pre 14 #57, November 1, 2007...)has been downloaded to my Canon A640 successfully.  However, no "Extra Photo Operations" option appears.  Lots of time spent downloading, etc., without result.  Can someone suggest a remedy to this problem, for which many thanks.

Well, I certainly thank you.  It would appear that my SD card was in a locked position, and thus immune to any new downloads (of which there were plenty, including this build that you referenced).  So, although I wasn't exactly clever...I'll just leave it there!
Many thanks to you; now I can immerse myself in the important details.  (You may get to hear from me again!)
