Well, I tried to listen to the orientation 'sensor' but I could not hear anything. It's definitely there, but I just can't hear it switching, like I did on an older A85.
With regard to the ND filter, don't see nor hear anything when switching to 'Fireworks'. When half-pressing it makes a clicking sound, but that's the aperture, I can see it and hear it. So, maybe S2 does not include ND. Maybe it does, but in another mode (beach perhaps?).
Now, regarding IS, a friend of mine boasted about buying a new Fuji camera (s7000 or something) with IS, at the same price I got my S2. Poor him, he didn't know that IS on that Fuji series is only an ISO boost
These things are marvels of engineering, I wonder how far will they go.
