I've not spoken to another human since last June, and that was only at a remote boat-landing where I was fishing.

Wow! You are some kind of anchorite (I just have looked to the dictionary for this word). :)

As for how much I supplement typing without talking, typing at 130 wpm helps.

You are typing at 130 words per minute? :o More than 2 words per second? Fantastic! And what the average length of words is? ;)
As for me, I still use 1-3 fingers for typing. Almost 15 years. [embarrassed]

[acseven/admin commented out: please refrain from more direct offensive language to any user. FW complaints to me] I felt it imperative to withdraw my TOTAL participation. Nobody has my permission, nor the right, to reinstate MY posts. Make-do with my quoted text in others' replies only. Bye

Hi GrAnd,
that was a nice intervju! And your english, no problem!
I once got the info that my english was so strange that nobody could even guess where I came from(no english accent, no swedish accent, no USA accent, no nothing?!). And I have worked in Chicago for 6 months... :)

You are wrong here. Typing is much easier than speaking. Because I have a time before posting to re-read what I typed, correct mistakes, to paraphrase a sentence if I have a difficulty in an explanation. Even more: there are many words which I know how to write, but never heard how they are pronounced, so I have to guess when I try to speak. :) In other words - I have no practice in oral english at all.
Watch American TV releases (comedy...), then speak the dialog and record it, then listen to both; repeat.
Watch American Movie releases with subtitles (comedy...), then speak the dialog and record it, then listen to both; repeat.
